Maternity Reflexology Training Courses are being held in WICKFORD & SOUTHEND-ON-SEA Essex, BRECON Wales & MANCHESTER01702 218754 07910 521328In 1995 I opened Ashby Clinic in Leigh-on-Sea with the aim of
MAKING REFLEXOLOGY ACCESSIBLE TO ALL AGES. Over the years I have seen patients with many conditions, some with progressive illnesses and some with emotional problems affecting their physical wellbeing. A year after opening the Clinic I was invited to be the Complementary Therapist for the Occupational Health Department of Southend Hospital and I still work there. After thirteen years I have now closed Ashby Clinic and have relocated to Great Wakering. Patients travel from London, Chelmsford, Maldon and Colchester and also from the closer towns and villages of
Benfleet, Hadleigh, Leigh-on-Sea, Rayleigh, Southend-on-Sea and Rochford for treatments at my practice in Great Wakering.
Whether I am working with
Maternity, Fertility or
General Reflexology I never cease to be amazed by the benefits of this ancient therapy on the young and not so young.
Stress affects so many people and can eventually lead to
Sleep deprivation resulting in
Panic attacks, Depression, Digestive and
Skin disorders. The calming effects of reflexology have definitely helped patients when they are suffering from stress.
Back in 1998 I attended a Maternity Reflexology Seminar and had not expected to be so enthralled and excited about working on pregnant feet but it was as though a door had opened into another realm of reflexology.
Pregnancy Reflexology. This led on to more Advanced Reflexology Courses and eventually I worked on a voluntary basis in the Hospital's Central Delivery Suite. Seeing the effects of this incredible therapy during labour and being able to help with pain relief was both an honour and an achievement. I was asked to be the guest speaker for the midwives Continued Professional Development, an excellent opportunity to explain exactly how I used reflexology throughout pregnancy. Following this workshop the Community Midwives started recommending their pregnant ladies to me for treatments.
